Las Vegas high school student arrested at home in rape case

The Palo Verde High School student indicted on sexual assault charges was arrested at home on Thursday before he went to school, his attorney said. Maysen Melton, 16, was indicted the previous day on two dozen felony counts after authorities accused him of raping at least four teenage classmates while he was a student at Shadow Ridge High School.

Grammy tribute to Las Vegas shooting victims planned

Three performers at last year's Route 91 Harvest festival where a gunman opened fire on fans will perform a tribute at this year's Grammy Awards to honor victims killed at live music events this year. Eric Church, Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne, who performed at the three-day country festival prior to the mass shooting last October, will collaborate on a special performance at the 60th annual Grammy Awards, airing live on CBS from New York on Jan. 28. The shooting in Las Vegas was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. modern history.

Records showed that 51-year-old Arthur Lee Sewall was being held Wednesday at the Washoe County jail pending his transfer in custody to Las Vegas on a murder and sex assault warrant issued Jan. 12. KSNV-TV reports that Sewall was identified as the killer of Nadia Iverson after a rape kit test last April matched Sewall's DNA.
