Two checked for injuries after crash Jan. 2

A passenger, identified as Rebecca Kathleen Rosen, 21, rural Clutier, and a three-month-old child were taken by Tama ambulance to UnityPoint Health, Marshalltown, to be checked following a collision of the vehicle they were passengers in with a milk transport truck. Tama Police investigated the mishap at U.S. Highway 63 at the stoplight for the westbound entrance ramp to the U.S. 30 Expressway which occurred at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2. Toledo Police Chief Bob Kendall was busy investigating another crash on U.S. Highway 63 at West Ohio street at the time.

Investigation continues into stabbing in Tama

Tama Police are continuing to investigate a stabbing which occurred on Saturday, Dec. 23, in the 200 block of West 4th Street in downtown Tama. The victim, who was only identified in a press release as an adult male, was taken to UnityPoint Care, Marshalltown, by Tama ambulance and was reported in stable condition.

Authorities say a 90-year-old man died in central Iowa after falling into a water well on Christmas Day. The Marshalltown Times-Republican reports that first responders were sent to a property in rural Gilman around 9:10 a.m. Monday.
