Accident causes traffic lights to go out

Fort Dodge Police Lt. Joe Bates said the accident happened around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Kenyon Road and Avenue C. A 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Patricia Jacob, of Churdan, and a 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Sean Robell, of Rockwell City, were both heading into Fort Dodge on Kenyon Road.

Clarion man airlifted after collision with Peterbilt on old 20

A Clarion man was seriously hurt Wednesday morning in a collision just east of Fort Dodge between a pickup truck and a large Peterbilt truck. Robert Rouch, 24, was taken to UnityPoint Health - Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, then airlifted to Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa in Mason City, according to Iowa State Patrol Lt.

Housing development agreement OK'd by council

A development agreement for infrastructure in the new Williams Bend neighborhood was approved by the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday. But the council postponed final action on a rezoning requested by Misty Harbor, a boat manufacturer, until questions about fencing are resolved.
