19-year-old charged with murder after shooting near Independence gas station

Officials in Jackson County have charged a 19-year-old in connection to the fatal shooting of a man near an Independence convenience store Saturday. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot several times and died in the parking lot of the business.
